Wisdom teeth are the last teeth to erupt within the mouth. When they align properly and gum tissue is healthy, wisdom teeth do not have to be removed. Unfortunately, this does not generally happen.

It involves, but is not limited to wisdom teeth removal, apicoectomy, TMJ disorder, facial trauma, corrective jaw surgery, oral pathology,dental implants, anesthesia and bone grafts. Oral and maxillofacial surgery is one of the 10 dental specialties recognized by the American Dental Association and requires at least 4-6 years of training.
